My Brand Experience - 1

Dove Shampoo & Conditioner

The dove shampoo which I bought in India seems to be inferior compare to one which we used to buy in UAE.
In India it is less viscous and light grey in color, where as in UAE the same is too viscous and pure white in color.
The Dove Conditioner seems to be same. Price wise there is no much difference, then why in India it is poor quality.

Mysore Sandal Gold Soap

The soaps which we bought in India are dull in color and also it had rough texture. Think they added more fillers and the filler particle sizes are also big, that how it had rough surface.

Tata Photon Plus

The customer care people don’t have courtesy to tell whether there will be signal in my village or not. He want to experiment myself at the cost of Rs.2500.00

Reliance Communication

The response and action done by Reliance Communication technical team was great. Less than few hours the technical team reached our home to sort out our broadband problem.

Chennai International Airport

Guys this is the place where I came to know how many white color are there in world. If we see the false ceiling in waiting area each and every square has different white color. That too they are newly constructed false ceilings. Past 5+ years I am seeing this airport. It had improved up to some extent.

The shops inside the Airport are looting money. Last time I bought a travel bag for Rs.750 which may be cost outside less than Rs.100. Poor quality laptop bag cost you Rs. 2500.

News & Observations - 1

In past most of the time we all see several government schemes for poor people only in News Papers. It may not be implemented properly or it will be in paper level just for eye wash.

During my last India visit (4th march 2010 to 26th march 2010) I came across few of government schemes in and around my village.

News
Under the National Rural Guarantee Scheme one member from each of India's 60 million rural households is guaranteed 100 days of work each year. They will receive a minimum wage of 60 rupees ($1.35) or an unemployment allowance if there is no work. The scheme will target India’s 60m rural households.

Observations
Yes, I saw the scheme implemented well in my village and several nearby villages. Even the workers are getting around Rs 50.00 in average.
But, the work efficiency achieved by this scheme will be less than 30%, based on my study and discussion with various people, those who work under this scheme are just sitting ideal for most of the time and the work assigned to them also useless.

News
Tamil Nadu government signed as agreement with the Hyderabad based Emergency Management Research Institute to provide free emergency assistance to people across the state through an integrated dialing code “108”

Observations
Yes, my close friends got a major accident few months ago nearby my village; they were timely transported to hospital by 108.

Even I saw a 108 Ambulance in very remote village during my travel across my district.

Also one of my relative’s friend got job as 108 Ambulance’s driver.

There are times, where bullock carts, tractors, TVS 50s ect are used as ambulance in village sides. I am really happy about this 108 Scheme.

News
Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi on Friday launched the free color televisions for the poor scheme near here and asserted that the DMK was committed to fulfilling all election promises.

Observations
Yes, in my village almost everyone is having that color T.V.
But it is distributed to everyone irrespective of reach and poor. I think those who are in DMK party will definitely have at least one T.V

News
Referring to the success of the self-help group movement in the State, Mr.Stalin said there were about 4.24 lakh Self Help Groups (SHG) in Tamil Nadu now.

Observation
Yes, I think there are 4 to 6 “Women self-help groups” are there in my village. They are getting enough funds and they are replaying sincerely.

But, the members of “Women self-Help groups” are forced to take part in rally to welcome ministers ect. During Mr. Stalin visit to my nearby village, these women were forced to stand under sun for several hours. End of the day they got Rs.50.00 and a Briyani Parcel.

Apart from above

I saw, Rice Rs.2 per kg in + low cost grocery items in public distribution system.

I saw Child Nutrition Scheme

I saw Rs. 6000 through Tamilnadu government Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy

Maternity Assistance Scheme.

Free Electricity to farmers

Free Bus pass to school students

Rural Water supply Scheme etc

Primary, secondary, higher, Arts & Science, Technical, Engineering educations

Etc

Right to Education Act – Tribute to Mr. K. Kamaraj

In my last post, I scribbled little about the states where the democratic government failed. I wondered how Tamil Nadu state government is functioning up to certain level even though most of the politicians here are equally bad. I think it is due to people’s awareness.

Thanks to Great Mr. K. Kamaraj. He was the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu during 1954 to 1963. He is the person how bought school education to millions of the rural poor by introducing free education with free mid day meal scheme. He reopened 6000 schools and added 12000 more schools across Tamil Nadu.

He made education compulsory up to 11th standard. Because of that the state literacy rate is more than 70% today.

I have some disappointment with Mr. K. Kamaraj, though he was the king maker who played vital role to bring two Prime Ministers, Sir. Lal Bahadur Shastri (1964) and Smt. Indira Gandhi (1966) he failed to encourage both the Prime Ministers to implement the free education with free mid day meal scheme across India.

How come a great visionary man failed to see beyond his own state?

It took 45+ years for Indian Nation Congress party to consider Mr. K. Kamaraj’s principle. The Parliament of India has recently passed Right to Education Act through which education has become fundamental right of all children of age group 6-14 year.

If it is implemented properly it will lead to awareness, intern the people will start to govern the government. Because the government is …of the people …by the people….for the people

Democracy – Punishment for the people by the politician

By visiting below website, you will come to know there are more than 160 Terrorist, Insurgent and Extremist groups operating in India.

If you visit below website we will come to know that, there are less than 50 recognized political parties across India.

From below picture we will come to know the Naxal dominated districts

If we include other Extremist groups, more than 25% of total Indian districts are affected by these extremist groups.

These extremist groups are surviving such long period because of public support and ineffective government. If we see, in all these districts the literacy rate is very less and the public distribution systems are totally failed.

Don’t know why the government is spending millions of rupees for paramilitary, CRPF ect to fight against extremist groups. Instead if the government spends that money for rebuilding Public Distribution System, Education and other infra structure then the public support for these groups will come down step by step.

Today Mr. Chidambarm said “2 – 3 year for war against Maoists to succeed”, also he said “the Maoists were thrusting ware on a democratically elected government, if this is war we will fight back” Instead of that if the so called democratically elected government function properly for 5 years there won’t be any Maoists or Naxals.

I saw a program in NDTV 24x7 about “Operation Green Hunt” most of the villagers interviewed by NDTV said, “The government should stop operation green hunt”.

Think within few days, the Chhattisgarh incident happed and we lost 76+ innocent CRPF men.

A top maoist leader names Gopal has said BBC that the brutal killing of 75 CRPF troopers in the dense forests of Chattisgarh was the 'direct consequence' of the government's Operation Green Hunt offensive.
When the Democracy is going to be “for the people, by the people” instead of “Punishment for the people by the politician”
